Self-proclaimed Malawian Hip-Hop young king, Waxy Kay has quickly refuted any talks of a publicity stunt upon announcing finding a new lover.
The ‘Za Zii’ hit maker had once been criticised for lying to his fans about being in a serious relationship with Lilongwe based R&B singer and song writer Nonymous.
A large section of followers were convinced that the whole relationship thing was a setup and a mere publicity stunt to help promote Waxy and Nonymous’s individual careers. The two however, vehemently denied any clout chasing and claimed to be in real love and not for social media likes.
Moving on from his previous relationship which ended prematurely, the rapper has announced he has found a new life partner and quickly pointed out that this is not a publicity stunt.
“Yes, I’m in love madala, her name is Shakirah, we have dated for 5 months and plans are underway to go meet her family next month! Uyuyu nde ndi wanga weniweni siza ma stunt”. He elaborated.
Waxy has even gone an extra mile and featured his new girlfriend in the video of his latest song called “Mdalitso” which the rapper said is a special dedication to her.

Mdalitso Tik Tok challenge is currently underway and the video has received a good number of views which one could quickly assume is because people want to see the new Mrs. Waxy Kay to be.
